All of the color in these mugs come from pure gold and silver fume. The fume integrates into the glass and is trapped under lines of clear glass. The iridescent blues become more pronounced with a dark background, so there's a color changing effect when adding coffee. These are borosilicate glass (Pyrex) so they are safe for dishwasher, microwave, and boiling water.
